It seems to me that one of the best ways to slow environmental degradation is to reduce our population.
It is already happening in affluent countries. We need to try to get all peoples to reduce the number of children. Our goal should be no more than two children per family. Over time our world population will substantially decrease which will reduce our impact on our environment.
