Administrative Economic Development Incentives
Developers looking to bring business to Pekin could encounter a streamlined process
for procuring taxpayer-backed incentives under a proposal unveiled Wednesday.
City officials appeared to overwhelmingly support the idea, which was generated by Pekin's Economic Development Advisory Committee as a way to stimulate growth in the community and offset some of the city's disadvanatages compared to its neighbors.
